AsiaNext was established in 2021 – a joint venture between Japan’s SBI Digital Asset Holdings Co., Ltd. (SBI DAH) and SIX Group AG (SIX) of Switzerland, to meet the increasing institutional appetite for access to digital assets through a safe and secure venue.

Chong Kok Kee
Chief Executive Officer
Kok Kee leads the AsiaNext team of 40-plus professionals, bringing with him over 20 years of strategic leadership experience in traditional finance, real estate, hospitality and digital assets. He has led 2 other Singapore digital asset exchanges (crypto assets and securities tokens) from inception to licensing and business launch. Prior to that, Kok Kee worked at UBS for 18 years, mainly in Chief Operating Officer roles for the Singapore, Taiwan and China locations. He was Chief Administrative Officer at JP Morgan China for 4 years, before joining Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Plc UK, a real estate and hospitality group under City Developments Limited as its Group Chief Financial Officer. He has extensive experience with strategy and new business development, building best-in-class technology platforms, financial and operations management, and regulatory compliance, and has worked in key cities across the world (Zurich, New York, London, Hong Kong, Taipei and Beijing).
Neil Thomas
Chief Commercial Officer
Neil leads the commercial team to bring on board members to AsiaNext exchange and build the business. He brings with him over 25 years’ experience in leadership and commercial roles, focusing on business development across the globe and spearheading global partnerships such as the formation of AsiaNext. Neil was previously the Head of Asia Pacific region for SIX since 2018, working closely with clients to support to deliver global data propositions to several large international banks. Prior to arriving in Asia, Neil spent a decade heading global relationships with strategic clients of SIX, primarily based out of London. Neil joined SIX from Thomson Reuters where his role focused on the investment banking and management sectors for 10 years. Neil is a certified member of FISD.
Yuen Keng Yin
Chief Technology Officer
Keng Yin leads the technology team at AsiaNext and has a deep IT background and extensive experience. He is skilled at leading the design of technology infrastructure and operations including the design of highly-available data centre and network infrastructure systems. He is also experienced with managing IT risks and formulating strategies/methods to mitigate these risks. Keng Yin was previously Chief Technology Officer at 2 other digital exchanges and worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore for 25 years in the leadership team overseeing the IT technology functions including IT infrastructure systems, applications development, data centre and IT security operations. He is conversant with the MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines, Business Continuity Management and Outsourcing, and looked after mission-critical IT systems such as the national Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) payment system and communication network (MASNET) linking MAS and financial institutions in Singapore.
Chua Kah Hau
Chief Compliance Officer
Kah Hau has over 14 years of legal and compliance experience in the financial sector, having previously served in various large and complex financial institutions and major law firms in Singapore, gaining deep knowledge in digital assets, securitisation, commercial law, corporate governance, and financial regulation. He is experienced in building an organisation’s compliance framework, managing legal and compliance risks, and leading the regulatory engagements, including the licence application process with the regulators. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Masters’ degree in Management, and was admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Head Technology Officer, SIX Digital Exchange
Loïc Guezennec joined SDX in September 2022 as Head Technology Officer. He has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry and has been developing technology for trading, wealth management, risk and compliance, in both small and large organisations. Prior to SDX, Loïc was CTO and Head of Development at Lombard Odier. His other appointments include Head of Platform Engineering at Credit Suisse and Head of Engineering at Swissquote.
