Our Story

AsiaNext was established in 2021 – a joint venture between Japan’s SBI Digital Asset Holdings Co., Ltd. (SBI DAH) and SIX Group AG (SIX) of Switzerland, to meet the increasing institutional appetite for access to digital assets through a safe and secure venue. SBI DAH has since acquired the full stake of AsiaNext on March 26, 2026 and it is now a fully owned subsidiary of SBI DAH.

Adhering to strict standards of regulatory compliance, risk management and corporate governance, AsiaNext stands as a crucial nexus within a global ecosystem that provides an institutional-grade, end-to-end digital assets value chain, bridged between Asia and Europe.

Chong Kok Kee
Chief Executive Officer (Securities, Crypto Spot)
Kok Kee leads the AsiaNext team of 50 over professionals, bringing with him over 20 years of strategic leadership experience in traditional finance, real estate, hospitality and digital assets. He has led 2 other Singapore digital asset exchanges (crypto assets and securities tokens) from inception to licensing and business launch. Prior to that, Kok Kee worked at UBS for 18 years, mainly in Chief Operating Officer roles for the Singapore, Taiwan and China locations. He was Chief Administrative Officer at JP Morgan China for 4 years, before joining Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Plc UK, a real estate and hospitality group under City Developments Limited as its Group Chief Financial Officer. He has extensive experience with strategy and new business development, building best-in-class technology platforms, financial and operations management, and regulatory compliance, and has worked in key cities across the world (Zurich, New York, London, Hong Kong, Taipei and Beijing).
Yuen Keng Yin
Chief Technology Officer
Keng Yin leads the technology team at AsiaNext and has a deep IT background and extensive experience. He is skilled at leading the design of technology infrastructure and operations including the design of highly-available data centre and network infrastructure systems. He is also experienced with managing IT risks and formulating strategies/methods to mitigate these risks. Keng Yin was previously Chief Technology Officer at 2 other digital exchanges and worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore for 25 years in the leadership team overseeing the IT technology functions including IT infrastructure systems, applications development, data centre and IT security operations. He is conversant with the MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines, Business Continuity Management and Outsourcing, and looked after mission-critical IT systems such as the national Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) payment system and communication network (MASNET) linking MAS and financial institutions in Singapore.
Prashant Bhatnagar
Chief Operating Officer
Prashant Bhatnagar is the Chief Operating Officer heading the Operations, Member Onboarding and the Project Office at AsiaNext, covering derivatives, securities and crypto spot. He brings over 20 years of experience in financial market infrastructure, spanning exchanges, clearing houses and custody operations. He was instrumental in establishing two of Singapore’s licensed central counterparties, the Singapore Mercantile Exchange (later acquired by ICE Singapore) and the Abaxx Commodity Futures Exchange and Clearing House. Prior to that, he held senior roles at the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and the National Stock Exchange of India, overseeing key aspects of exchange operations. Prashant also contributed to a major custody transformation programme at Standard Chartered Bank’s Securities Services division, enhancing regional and global custody operations across South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and ASEAN.

Tetsuya Nagamochi
Non-Executive Director, SBI Digital Markets
Mr. Nagamochi is the Managing Director and CEO of SBI Ventures Singapore and serves as Director of SBI Ven Capital. In this capacity, he oversees the day-to-day operations of SBI Ventures Singapore, including fund administration and the management of various overseas assets of the SBI Group. Prior to his current role, Mr. Nagamochi spent 17 years at SBI Shinsei Bank, where he held multiple global investment positions, including portfolio manager for CLO, ABS, RMBS, securitized products, and structured credit. His most recent role at SBI Shinsei Bank was Global Head of Infrastructure Finance. Mr. Nagamochi is currently a member of the Global Private Credit team at the SBI Group and is involved in business development for the banking sector in the APAC region. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Sawyer School of Business, Suffolk University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from International Christian University in Japan
